Faculty of Science: School of Pharmacy - Foundation Pharmacy

The School of Pharmacy at SU re-engineered the first year class Foundation Pharmacy to increase student self-regulation by increasing the opportunities for students to self-assess and reflect on their learning. The course redesign involved improving the focus and delivery of feedback to students by using an electronic pro-forma linked to the students’ electronic personal development portfolio (ePDP). The focus of the feedback was enhanced by linking it to Personal Skills Development thereby reinforcing an integrative approach to reflection and self-regulation.
