Managerial Finance

The Caledonian Business School at GCU re-engineered the Managerial Finance class to increase student engagement and realign assessment loading to enable students to effective self-regulate their own learning. This was achieved with the weighting of the existing weekly online multiple choice quizzes (MCQ) and enhancement of the question feedback. An electronic voting system was also integrated into lectures in the second year of the course redesign. The success of this course redesign has subsequently led to the removal of a group project leading to further savings in staff workload.
