As I have been working on these principles in relation to our university strategy, I have now added a principle on summative assessment. I have created one for now although it is such a big area that it may require two. However, the other 10/11 principles also have something to say about summative processes. Nonetheless, there are backwash effects from summative that are different from formative so it warrants something. I am consulting about this now in our working party but I can share this with you if you are interested. Thanks for all your contributions and I have certainly taken on board all the reactions that came through this thread all of which will make my revision of the paper better.
